Haha, this is the first one I’ve done, out of character, but I don’t have any other Tumblr and I’m lazy (much like Ryuk) to make another Tumblr, any who, I just want chy’all to hear me out. 
I really, really love Death Note hopefully that was obvious or why else would I spend my time making a ‘Role Play’ blog.

As Ryuk, I realized I obviously can’t pick sides (Dimmit Ryuk D8<)
But since I am not Ryuk at this very moment I can say it all I want, hell, I would scream it if it weren’t for my house hold being asleep :(

LIGHT YAGAMI.

I will sadly admit, my sides altered throughout the series, It started out as Light, then L, and then Light, then luckily it stayed Light.
I’ve watched the entire anime a couples time and I’ve read the manga once, and when I thought about it… 
L irritated me, I’m not entirely sure what it was, but something about him always angered me. While Light put him all into doing what he felt was right (Which BTW I agree on) I felt all L did, was sit, eat and accuse. I know he did try, I just felt his motivation quite lacking…Tough I agree I would choose L over Near any given day, seeing at Near used Mello to get 85% of his information. And it aggravated me seeing Near wear an L mask, Ugh the nerve of that bastard. Any who I just wanted to say I really, really, really love Light, everything about him, though I will not deny the fact that the Death Note’s power tainted his heart and consumed him, turning Light into a power-loving madman, but he was however innocent, he just wanted justice, and he did what no other could have, therefore putting Light above and beyond any level L and Near combined could have accomplished.

I still watch the last episode and find myself at the verge of tears.
I also found that my views on a majority of characters changed, either slightly or massively after watching the anime a few times ^__^

Not to mention… Have you seen that boy?!?! ‘Cause gurrlll, he is FINE. X3

I’d say from experience; that the name the child is first called with will immediately make that the childs name, unless it says otherwise on a birth certificate. So for example;
